This is a sort of potpourri of updates! But first, a question.
I am exploring the AI-based transcription tools that Amazon makes available. With my hearing issues, males with Indian/more generally southeast Asian accents are the hardest voices for me to understand. Does anyone know of an audio podcast (on any topic) whose host is a male with an Indian/more generally southeast Asian accent? My most recent post, about Biden’s Philadelphia speech, pissed off several Woke hate followers who canceled their subscriptions, which is equally disappointing and reassuring. (Reassuring because it seems to give evidence that I’m being honest despite predictable consequences, like loss of income.) I have a few comments on that phenomenon.
In addition to that, there’s an update on some of the things I’ve written about lately, including: my neighbors who are flying a flag upside down; being off Twitter; looking for a new job; and responding to several reader emails about an adventure I had in the ER a few months ago, Sam Harris, not voting in November, mathematics tutoring, and not applying for student loan forgiveness (including one who legit triggered me, using the exact same language as my mother about something…shiver).
Oh, and my favorite show is about to return for season 17!
