I'm thinking about the best way to do this. SO MUCH depends on the various factors -- whether there's a stay-at-home-parent who can teach and/or learn alongside the child, the parental comfort level with mathematics, whether the child has the maturity and attention span to self-teach from internet resources or not, what the child is most interested in and why, etc. There may be a way to do this without writing a 30,000 word "Choose your own adventure" type thing. I'm giving it some thought. Thanks for the encouragement.
Remember to vote Republican this November! I live in northern New York State and when Cuomo and his administration imposed measures on hospitals, nursing homes, and residential facilities that caused tens of thousands of COVID deaths, it was the Republicans who fought back.
I've reached the conclusion that CDC/Pfizer are trying to eliminate the control group and are using the lunatics on the ACIP to rubberstamp their policy suggestions.
Holly, I don’t have children or grandchildren that could benefit from your very generous offer but I dare say there many parents and children who could and I hope they reach out to you. I will gladly pass along your information. Laura is correct in that this is the kind of village needed to raise children.
The bar to be better than the public school teachers is just not that high. Think back to your undergrad days. Did you consider ANY of the Ed majors you knew to be "bright"? How many of them were really disciplined with their studies? How many were both? One may not be able to be better than the most gifted professor you knew, but that's also true of 99% of the k-12 public school educators. Parents also have the advantage of being more invested in their kids' educations

Thank you for the support, Holly! This is the kind of village we need to raise children :)
