Schoolchildren and the COVID vaxes

a short reminder that you're not alone

The CDC has voted to add the COVID vaccine to the recommended vaccine schedule for schoolchildren. Each state varies in how they do or don’t mandate vaccines for school attendance, what factors their mandates are based on, and to what extent they allow exceptions, so I won’t try to comment broadly on whose parental rights are being infringed and to what degree.

I will just say this: the government is not your co-parent.

If homeschooling is your best option to protect your child from being forced to get the COVID vaccine, do it. Many parents hesitate to homeschool from fear that they can’t do right by their child and provide a good education. This is a fear that is understandable and even laudable; it shows that the parent is taking the parental duty to provide a good education seriously.

If you are in a school district where the COVID vaccine is going to be mandated for your child, and you and your trusted medical sources don’t believe it to be in your child’s best interest, then don’t do it. Let them suffer the loss in tax revenue for your kid being withdrawn, and embark on the adventure of homeschooling.

It doesn’t have to be forever, but it can at least be until they pull their collectivist heads out of their collectivist, tyrannical asses.
