Im sure you have grown fond of advice from readers, 😂😂. For what it's worth, I'm not sure what ails you, but odds are it is an upper respiratory virus. If you have not tried nasal saline irrigations, you might want to give it a try. The number of medications and antibiotics that I have had to prescribe has dropped precipitously since encouraging this in my patients. I also find it invaluable for hastening resolution whenever I am afflicted.

My favorite is the Nasaline irrigator..

Get well soon!

As usual, I'm a zebra. It presented like classic strep throat, including the white streaks and red spots. It feels like sore throat, plus a runny nose. My doctor (who I only saw online, as I'm having vertigo and was not going to drive) said that there's a new COVID variant that presents and acts like strep but also has upper respiratory involvement. So she prescribed antibiotics with the understanding that I would take an at-home COVID test first. If positive, don't take the antibiotics. "COVID has to run its course." If negative, take them and assume it's strep plus a runny nose. Well, my insurance has a deal where I can get a box of eight at-home tests for free. I've taken four. Two negative and two indeterminate (very, very faint lines). In the meantime, the white streaks and red spots are much worse, fever staying up. I don't believe in letting COVID run its course, so I'm hitting it hard with the FLCCC protocol plus the antibiotics.

I'll look at nasal irrigation when my nose isn't extremely sore. Thanks. :)

Hi Holly. Nasal irrigations are yet another potential COVID treatment that our wonderful CDC and most medical experts sadly overlooked. It significantly curtails the ability of respiratory viruses to infect and propagate. The nose does an extraordinary job, but is much more effective at resisting a whole slew of insults with just a little help. We would not think that good dental outcomes could occur without toothbrushing, flossing and careful attention but we expect the nose to work optimally without any assistance at all. It, like the teeth, will be far more capable and resilient with a bit of simple care. I would happily evaluate you and make recommendation to hasten recovery as a small repayment for your valued contributions. Reach out if interested. I will desist from this comment thread evaluation.

Best and thanks 😊

If you could send a link to Amazon or wherever one buys the type of set up you recommend for this, that would be very helpful.

I also hope you feel better soon, and also recommend the nasal irrigation. If nothing else it can assist in breaking up the mucus enough to actually blow out / drain better and let you get a couple of good breaths. 😁

I would also recommend green chile stew, but that's probably rather harder to come by out there. Though if you have a palate for it at all, you'll be well aware that spicy food can also assist in sinus drainage.
