I’m really, really sick. It’s the worst kind of sick to cope with, in my experience, as I cannot think well enough to get real work done. I require my brain to be functional to do mathematical analysis or work on any of my coding projects. But I’m not so sick as to take to my bed and sleep constantly. I still want very much to read and think and occupy myself with interesting distractions, particularly now, as I’m quite miserable.
So if you’ve got something written that you think I might be interested in publishing, now’s the time to send it!
Guidelines:
I am fascinated by unusual perspectives and accept guest posts from people whose lives have given them such. Previous guest authors have included a Canadian conservative; an author who is, through his expertise in autodidactism, building his own homestead and retreat for writers; an expert in the “law of attraction” school of thought; and an actually intersex person.
If I find the perspective interesting, I will publish whatever the person wishes to say, whether I agree or not. This Substack does not provide an income sufficient for me to pay writers, but I have good engagement statistics and it will likely bring you new readers.
Email hollymathnerd at gmail dot com if you are interested in writing a guest post. I will respond as I feel up to it.
Housekeeping: comments are open for paid subscribers, as they are on most posts. Email hollymathnerd at gmail dot com if you would like a paid subscription but cannot afford one, and I’ll give you a free year.
I hope you feel well soon, Holly!
Im sure you have grown fond of advice from readers, 😂😂. For what it's worth, I'm not sure what ails you, but odds are it is an upper respiratory virus. If you have not tried nasal saline irrigations, you might want to give it a try. The number of medications and antibiotics that I have had to prescribe has dropped precipitously since encouraging this in my patients. I also find it invaluable for hastening resolution whenever I am afflicted.
My favorite is the Nasaline irrigator..
Get well soon!
