It’s no secret that the media lies, but it’s rare for the media to lie this brazenly: to directly and specifically claim that someone said X when in fact the person very clearly said not-X.
This 7-minute video provides the clearest and most unambiguous example of lying on the part of the media that I’ve ever seen. Embedded below, but here’s a link if you’d prefer to watch it on YouTube:
This lie was told by WAMC, a public radio station that serves most of the Northeastern United States.
I wonder if being directly and specifically lied to by journalists has anything to do with this part of the country being so blue?
“They’re lying to you. How much of what you believe is just a lie?”

To put people in danger because of their blatant lying “reporting”...I cannot begin to fathom how they can do this with impunity. I know, with certitude, that my liberal friends will believe every word of it. Even if there was a correction issued no one would read/hear it. How do you fight this? Any media that would report this correctly would be considered right wing and no one but conservatives would hear it. I know this to be factual as my liberal friends discount as lies and propaganda any reporting done by what they consider conservative news agencies.
I sent a link via email to the WMAc's legal team of the video and asked them why they lie to their listeners. I'll share if they respond.... not holding my breath.
