First off congratulations on your victory over your college programming. Thank you for sharing this wonderful takedown of the sewage colleges are pumping into young minds. It dovetails nicely with what I hear from other voices like Jordan Peterson.
I gave my daughter some advice when she was very little. Advice is worth what you pay for it, but you might consider it. I think it was one of my parental high points.
“When you first meet someone, always be much more concerned about what you think about them than what they think about you.“
It’s amazing how easily you can dial down from DEF CON 5 when you genuinely are unconcerned about another person’s opinion until you know its value.
The first time I heard of the phrase "white privilege", my immediate thought was "hey, wait a minute... I'm still a woman, and I'm still poor!" A few months later, I was feeling like I did have certain advantages by being born white, as I occasionally reflected on my upbringing in a family with multiple truly racist relatives.
I had an IT career for the most part of 20ish years, and sexism is a real thing that impacted me several times. I also lost several contracts and began to suspect i had autism, which ended up being confirmed because I went to Vocational Rehabilitation and explained while I had excellent habits as an employee and my end users always loved me, I'd run afoul of office politics or undocumented policies. That was in my mid 40s, so I've been aware of the autism for about 10 years, although now, I'm too disabled for any job since 2021.
I very much appreciate the subscription you have provided since I read your post about World Suicide Prevention day.
I officially peaked on gender identity in January 2020 and it's been interesting, to say the least, about how people described as "woke" behave.

It's 95% my therapist, 4% my friends, and 1% me, to be completely honest. But thank you!
