ChatGPT sounds like it does a good job at things that the left hemisphere of human brains can do. Not so much with the right hemispheres functions. Yes that includes the story telling. Makes sense given that left-hemisphere dominated humans created it.

Agreed overall, but the story about Gator was pretty impressive. Nice story arc, happy ending, and good detail (corrupt deep state, etc.).

I really liked the film Her. I know some people found it chilling. To me it showed that AI might be therapeutic, reading a person, seeing where they’re at and from there taking the steps to move them forward to healing their psyche.

This stuff, seeing where it is now and assuming that it will only get better and better… it’s scary. We already rely too much on others thinking for us. Seems like it might create the homogenized mind, everyone an NPC.

...Shit. Untill today I was only worried about the impressive strides being made with AI image generators BUT NOW I apparently need to worry about ending up doing poetry rap battles in the streets with robots to verify my humanity within the next decade.

The rhyming thing killed me. Your passive or polite frustration/scolding/condescension at the end was just wonderful.
