It is somehow both the most and least surprising thing in the world to learn that great men figured out, thousands of years ago, precisely how to avoid the dreadful and costly mistakes that whole societies are presently making.
The Daily Stoic has a short passage from one of the Stoics for each day of the year. An accompanying journal has room for a morning and evening reflection each day. I highly recommend it for anyone with any interest in trying to learn from the Stoics or practice the philosophy of Stoicism.
