After being part of the private beta test and finding that I enjoyed it, I published my first post-public-opening note on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there. (It happened to be welcoming Dr. Roller Gator to Notes, how cool is that?).
Notes is essentially a different version of Twitter, and I’ll use it largely the way I used Twitter previously, though likely with fewer dunks on Woke idiots and more short thoughts, personal news, sharing links to things I’m enjoying, works-in-progress of things I’m writing, drawing, or coding, and stuff like that. If it starts to get toxic, like Twitter, I’ll stop using it, but so far it’s been pretty decent.
Many of you are enjoying my book reviews and I’ll likely share passages of things I’m reading there before getting to the point of actually reviewing them.
If the opening of Notes makes you want to take the plunge, paid subscriptions are 10% off through April at this link: https://hollymathnerd.substack.com/elon_self_own.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to my Substack, you’ll automatically see my notes.
You can also join and share Notes of your own. It works basically like Twitter.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance.
Housekeeping: Comments are open for paid subscribers, as on most posts. If you’d like a paid subscriptions but cannot afford one, email hollymathnerd at gmail dot com.
Hi Holly! My substack subscriptions are under my real name but if I am going to do Notes I may want to create an adorable alias. Wondering if you have any insider knowledge on how to do this?
