Several of you have emailed and asked me to comment on Afghanistan.
There’s very little to say.
A country full of girls and women face a future of sexual slavery, enforced at the barrel of guns that you and I paid for before we abandoned them to this fate.
The situation is so gut-wrenchingly awful that even watching the talking heads in the media and the tribalist Left excuse our government for this travesty because the orange man was bad doesn’t approach it for sheer horror.
Usually, I wish that I could believe in a God, as the possibility of some father figure who might love me is appealing.
Today, I am grateful to recognize that no such being exists.
If any such God existed, the judgment we would deserve for this would be fearsome indeed.
