On February 14, I’m making some changes to my Substack. As promised, there will never be anything that only paid subscribers can access, and anyone who wants to be a paid subscriber but can’t afford it can email me for a freebie: hollymathnerd at gmail dot com.
New benefits for paid subscribers:
—I will turn on commenting for paid subscribers only. No promises that I will read in a timely fashion or respond, but I probably will more often than not.
—Paid subscribers will have exclusive access for a month to a new feature.
Once a month, I will be publishing something new and different. Usually I write arguments in favor of or opposition to various ideas, or try to comment on things that I see as important in our culture. These will be more personal (and not always dark, ha ha—think stories about the things I’ve mis-heard due to being deaf/HOH, how and why I came to love mathematics, adventures I had during the year I worked five part-time jobs saving up to move away, some corporate America silliness, my ongoing periodic experimentation with psilocybin, books I love and why).
When the new one comes out, the old one will be unlocked for free subscribers.
All paid subscribers who subscribe before February 14 will be grandfathered in to the current prices: $60/yr or $6/month.
On February 14, the price for new paid subscriptions will increase to $75/yr or $7.50/month.
If you’ve been on the fence about switching to a paid subscription, this week would be a good time. The price change will go into effect at 6am Eastern on Monday, February 14.
